The good thing about other people's birthdays, is you get to make horrible for you foods (diet or no), and give it all away. Maybe not all. Maybe all but a bite, or two.
Attempt 1:
Orange chocolate chip cupcakes (recipe from epicurious). Delicious.
**um... ran out of choc chips, substituted with mint choc. chips
Attempt 2: with some skepticism
Peanut butter and Jelly Cakewhich (recipe courtesy of the cakewhich silicone pan box.... hence skepticsm). May just find a recipe I trust for the cake, then do the rest per box.
**Paula Deen it is.
The goal...
starts with this...
just watched jersey shore. boom.
how did angel food cake turn out? can i tell you of my food adventures today???
ReplyDeleteI went to Pikes today and bought an entire salmon. and then asked them to cut it up for me. I made citrus glazed salmon, spinach pecan pesto (was supposed to be walnuts, but didn't have any) and roasted veggies (also from the market).
the pesto was rather bland, added fresh garlic. also, blanched the spinach and then food processed it. very bright green. and made too much for the amount of pasta...and poured all of pesto into the pasta. result? bright green pasta sludge. tasty though. salmon=delicious.
love your blog!
Maybe I need to rename this blog "The Lee Family Eats"? That salmon sounds delicious!
ReplyDelete#1- yum.
ReplyDelete#2- what would happen if you used a strong cheese for pesto??
#3 - did you mix it all together? I bet that would reduce sludge, and then you get it all in the same bite!!! try next.
